Alan Turing
Born: June 23, 1912
Death: June 7, 1954
Major Academic Events: He graduated Cambridge University in 1934 and received his Ph.D. in Mathematical Logic in 1938 from Princeton University in the United States. Turing published his paper on the "Turing machine" in 1936 and his paper was reviewed by Alonzo Church in 1937.
